The matter doesn’t seem to be so straightforward, though. “We shall go by what both the ministry and Telenor decide to do. If we assess what we think might happen from what is written in the letter, it’s probable that the catalogue will not be distributed next year” says Eniro’s communications director, Bard Hammervold. He assures the public that all the information will still be available electronically, though. Environmentally friendly Friends of the Earth in Norway (Norges Naturvernforbund) have been campaigning actively to stop the catalogue’s distribution, according to the Norwegian News Agency (NTB). “It’s very good news that the ministry has abolished the obligation to spread unnecessary paper rubbish round Norway”, Lars Haltbrekken, the organisation’s leader tells the agency.
